Time to plant new seeds in Phoenix, Arizona.

It's late January and while most of the country is still toppled with snow and freezing temperatures; Arizona winters are mild. Today is a warm 71°F (21.6°C).  In fact, its time to start thinking about planting a new garden. Phoenix, Arizona planting zone is 9B. The last freeze is around mid February.

Last two weeks, leaves started falling off the trees and winter looked like autumn. In February, it will be time to plant: beets, carrots, cauliflower, collards, cucumbers, eggplant, endive, kale, leeks, onions, parsley, peas, radishes and turnips. I am very excited to be starting a small patio garden soon.

  1. That’s cool I’m glad that you have a patio you can put a garden on and I’m glad that you’re healthy enough to plant things and take care of them. Some of us are not that lucky. I do love your weather out there and I wish I was there but for now I cannot make it. So I am looking for hopefully next year January 2023 if things go well. I love you guys!
